Alsalam Alikum Dear brothers and sisters,

We pray to Allah SWT that everyone is making maximum effort in Ibadah these glorious 10 days of Thul Hijjah. We pray that everyone capable is planning on fasting the day of Arafa which falls tomorrow, Monday the 19th Insha Allah.

Eid Prayer Timings

The heavy rain we received made part of our soccer unusable.
Therefore, we are adding a third Salah and changing the timing of second Salah slightly:

First Salah: 7:30
Second Salah: 8:45
Third Salah: 10:00

We encourage you Car pool as mush as possible and leave as soon as the khutbah is done so we can manage our parking

Please remember that in Eid, Salah comes before Khutbah and that it will start promptly as scheduled Insha Allah. So plan to come at least 20 minutes earlier to find parking and make it to the prayer area.

Prayer Location and Arrangements if No Rain
Men will pray in the outside basketball area while sisters in the gym. The first 15 rows in both places will be reserved for vaccinated people praying shoulder to shoulder and the remaining rows will maintain social distancing.

Prayer Location and Arrangements if Rain
Men will pray in the indoor gym and small men Mussallah while sisters upstairs. The first 15 rows in gym and sister area will be reserved for vaccinated people praying shoulder to shoulder and the remaining rows will maintain social distancing.

Masks and Your Own Prayer Rugs Required
Safety is a top priority and we urge you to follow our guidelines regardless of your vaccination status

Sweet Box will be given at the entrance.
Eid Picnic will be on Saturday July 31st
A small token of Eid celebration. The picnic will start at noon and end at 4 PM.
Lunch will be served at 2:30 pm Insha Allah.

Requesting Minimum $25 Per Family to Cover Eid Expenses,
There are many expenses that the Masjid incurs the day of Eid as well as the picnic. $25 per family will help cover that Insha Allah.

No Parking at Metcam Under Any Circumstance
Our next door business neighbor Metcam has been supporting us since we purchased the land. They allow us to use their parking in Ramadan evenings and when either Eid falls on weekend. This Eid being on Tuesday and being a workday for Metcam makes their parking lot not available to us. We must strictly enforce this rule and not allow any of our community members to park at Metcam.

Our Volunteers Sacrifice a Lot
Our volunteers, be it every Jumaa or Eid, sacrifice their time and energy to make sure we can all have smooth prayer arrangements. Not only we urge you to follow their instructions but recommend that you extend them a pleasant Jazakum Allah Khairan. Prophet Muhammad PBUH said: “He, who does not thank people, does not thank Allah”.

We need additional volunteers, so please come forward and reply to this email if you are willing to dedicate some of your time to help us manage the prayers. Please email us at board@masjidhamzah.com if you are interested in helping us out with any volunteer activities.

Eid Mubarak to all and see you Tuesday morning Insha Allah.

Masjid Hamzah

*History* Hamzah Islamic Center was founded in 2005 based on the principles described above. The center rented a property of 6,000 SQ FT to accommodate both Jumaa prayers and its growing Sunday school demands. The community grew so much, by the Grace of God, that a new center has purchased. It is 11.9 acres of land approximately a mile west of our current rentedl location. A county hearing was held at Forsyth County to approve building of a prayer hall, gym, religious school, daycare, playgrounds and more. Alhamdulillah, the project was unanimously approved by all commissioners.

Ramadan Announcement - Final update

Assalamu Alaikum brothers and sisters,

With no confirmed sighting of the Hilal of Ramadan as of now, we are planning for the start of Ramadan this Tuesday In shaa Allah. First night of Taraweeh is tonight In shaa Allah

Isha and Taraweeh-
Isha Iqamah will be at 9:30 tonight and April 14th and at 9:45 starting April 15th Insha Allah. Taraweeh to start 5 minutes after Isha prayer.

Taraweeh for men will be in the gym and any overflow at the outdoor basketball area while the sisters occupy both downstairs and upstairs Mussallahs.

Everyone must wear masks, bring their own prayer matts, and maintain social distancing throughout

No Children under 8 During Taraweeh
We need to allow for the maximum number of adults to pray and we have limited space due to the social distancing constraints. We appreciate if everyone respect this rule.

All pre-teen children must remain with their parents and not left unsupervised. This both for their own safety and to maintain the necessary level of quietness for the Salah

We are allowed to park at Metcam (company across the street) lower parking area only at night and only during Ramadan. No one is to park there during day time please. Please make sure not to block anyone or block emergency vehicle paths anywhere while attending Salah

Iftar Plan
The masjid shall provide dates and water for those breaking Iftar at the Masjid and praying Maghrib. We need to observe safety measures by restricting items to only these two

We ask Allah SWT to bless us to observe this Ramadan with the highest state of Iman and Ibadah. We pray that this Ramadan brings unity and peace to all.

Jazakum Allah Khairan
